Commssion Prices
Want a peice of my art to call your very own? Have money to
waste? You're in the right place, my friend.
Commission Terms
1. The prices below are only valid for
private, non-commercial commissions only. If you are
a business looking for a mascot or logo for advertising, please
consult me personally via eMail.
2. Unless agreed otherwise, I reserve the rights to post
commission images online. On the other hand, I will not
sell prints or originals of any commission of your character without
your explicit permission.
3. Since you bought the commission from me, any sort
of fair use is game with me. You can crop it down for a LJ
or DA icon, ink the sketches and colour them, whatever. No
need to ask.
4. I will ONLY be accepting stuff up to a PG-13 rating.
No sex, minimal blood and guts...you get the gist.
5. I reserve the right to turn down any commission
request, period. No questions asked.
6. As for payments, the preferred method is PayPal, but
I'll accept money orders, checks, and well-hidden cash (at
your own risk). For smaller commissions like sketches or icons
I take payment UP FRONT, but typically for the larger digital
commissions I don't require payment until I get an approval
on a concept drawing.
Real media
Real media stuffs! You can actually get an original and hang
it up on your wall- if you want to, anyway. ;) Shipping of originals
is a flat $5, and I prefer to use shipping tubes, unless it's
really something that really shouldn't be rolled. Not that any
of these require special paper. That would cost a little extra,
I'm afraid. :\
1. Page o' doodles!
Simply a piece of sketchbook paper (at around say...9x12 inches...just
the normal size piece of paper I work at most the time) with
a bunch of loose, gestural drawings of your character or characters.
$5
2.Refined
sketch
Same size paper (unless requested different), this time of a
central image in a cleaned up sketch with minimal to no rendering,
no background. $8
3. Graphite rendering
Rendering of a central subject in graphite with full detail,
no background. $20
With simple background:
$25
4. Black Paper
Oooh. Now that's the ticket. Refined coloured pencil rendering
of a character on 9"x 12" textured black paper. No background,
not confident enough to do that yet. XD $25
Digital
My bread and butter. Unfortunately, I can't offer prints myself,
but I'll be happy to send you a high-rez file so you can make
your own. :)
1. Digital
sketch
I suck at sketching in Photoshop. So I sketch in Painter or
oC. People seem to like this style, it's very loose and gesturely.
I will do it at about 1050x800 pixels unless told; otherwise,
really, with a sketch, it doesn't matter. $5
2. LiveJournal
icons
I usually do these in Flash; they're just headshots with flat
cel shading and gradient backgrounds. $8
With text: I'll be happy to add text to your icon for a little
extra, you'll just have to keep in mind the small size
of the icon! I've jammed in plenty of text for my own icons
(see my "Moment
in Paradise" and "Quasimodo"
icons), but the more text means the more I'll have to abuse
my pixel fonts. If you don't like pixel fonts...go with very
little or no text. $10
Animation: Blinking eyes, fading or scrolling text: $15
3. Flash piece
These are interesting to do. Rescalable to just about any size,
a Flash peice would be a simple character portrait with flat
cel shading and an abstract background. Kinda step up from the
LJ icons. $25
4. Flat Colours/ Cel shading
The classic animated movie look-alike style. I'm rather fond
of it, myself. These are inked in Flash then taken into Photoshop.
I generally tend to work any digital peice at 300 DPI and at
11"x 14" inches. I can and will agree to go bigger for a little
extra.
Abstract background: $20
Regular background: $35 (yes fifteen dollars more, backgrounds
are a lot of work, darnit!)
5. Full Digital Rendering
The big one. Full fur and feather rendering, background if you
want it, pencil or Flash outlines, everything you'd ever want.
Canvas size starts at 11"x14" at 300 DPI but I'll gladly go
up, as long as my computer can handle it. :)
Portrait/bust shot
(minimal background): $30
Abstract background: $45
Full picture: $65
Those are the options I have right now! If you want something
different, please speak up. Right now the only papers I have
are various sketchbook papers, but hopefully sometime I can
offer stuff on Bristol or something. These prices aren't set
in stone, if you want a little more or a little less please
feel free to ask what I can do for you. :)
My strengths and weaknesses: I can do just about any mammal,
anthro or non, plantigrade or digitgrade. I also do gryphons,
anthro or non, and birds, anthro with six or four legs or non.
I'll also be willing to take on robotic characters or cyborgs.
Humans and reptiles, etc, are weaknesses.
So if you'd like to commission
me, go to the contact page and put "Commission!" or
something in the subject line, and we'll talk. I hope to hear
from you someday! :D
